My Europe - Bulgaria
My Europe / Mein Europa
'My Europe' is an interactive digital series of events that invites its guests to discover Europe.
How does it work? It's simple: We talk to young people from various countries about Europe and their personal topics of interest. The topics are as diverse as the speakers and can range from current political and social developments through culture and science to one's own commitment to greater tolerance or solidarity. In addition to the given topic, all participants can also vote live on other topics and ask questions on the evening itself.
On 22 February, Marina Dyankova will take the audience on a virtual journey to Bulgaria
Marina is 22 years old and loves learning through practical experiences. She is a Culinary Arts student living and studying in the Sea Capital of Bulgaria - Varna. Marina grew up in Varna but had the opportunity to travel around Europe since young age. She has studied German in high school but loves exploring all cultures, languages and traditions. Currently, Marina is working as a project coordinator in a Social Enterprise giving first job opportunity to youngsters from foster homes or vulnerable environment. She has experience in hospitality and customer service. Marina considers herself an active citizen who is involved in the social and cultural development of the city. Even though she will not spend her whole life in Bulgaria she appreciates its traditions, history and nature.
In the section of her personal topic of interest Marina will give the audience more insight into these elements of the Bulgarian culture.
The moderator is Henri Schlund, freelance journalist.
